How we check

Every colour needs a source

We start with council plans, strategies, minutes, project pages and funding records. A proposal stays a proposal until a reliable source says the land or plots are ready.

What the law says

Section 48 names allotments

The Act requires sustainable-place strategies to include objectives for reserving land for allotments and prescribed community gardens. It does not set a national plot quota or a delivery deadline.

The date matters

Older plans still need context

The relevant development-plan changes took effect on 31 December 2025. We show useful earlier policies, but do not present them as post-commencement work.

Missing facts become useful questions

Where the public record runs out, we add the gap to our existing council follow-up rather than guessing. General acknowledgements and referrals are kept separate from factual answers.
