What You Get

• Supplementary income. Plot-share rents typically run €80–€400/year depending on size and region. One good plot = a nice holiday contribution.
• Your space gets used. Unused garden corners revert to brambles. Growers keep the space tidy and productive.
• Produce sharing is common. Most arrangements include an informal "grower leaves some veg at the door" convention. Some landowners value this more than the rent.
• Community. Particularly for older or isolated landowners, having a grower regularly on site is a social lift.

What You Control

Phase 1 Homegrown is a matching service, not a transaction platform. You control:

• Rent — whatever you agree directly with the grower. Typical €80–€400/year depending on size and what's included.
• Duration — single season, annual, multi-year. Your call.
• What's included — water access, shed, tools, polytunnel use. Everything negotiable.
• Who you match with — you have the right to say no to anyone we introduce.

Safety & Insurance

Most home insurance policies include public liability that covers casual visitors to your property. If you're listing regularly or at scale, consider a specific public-liability policy — a call to your insurer will confirm what's covered. Phase 2 of Homegrown will offer a partner insurance product; for now, handle it directly.
